Hello! We are a loving family of three ready to grow our hearts and our home through adopting a baby. We are Shaun and Karly and we have an energetic, preschool-aged son, Miles, who is very excited about the possibility of becoming a big brother. Family is at the center of everything we do, and our home is filled with laughter, curiosity, and lots of love.

 

Our path to growing our family has included years of infertility and medical tests and treatments, beginning in 2016. In the midst of that journey, we were miraculously blessed with the pregnancy of our son, a gift that continues to remind us of the power of hope and faith. While the road has not been easy, it has strengthened our marriage, deepened our empathy, and reaffirmed our desire to be parents. Adoption is something we approach with gratitude and humility, and we feel honored by the opportunity to love and raise a child.
 

Shaun is a pharmacist, Karly is a stay-at-home-mom, and Miles is in preschool. Miles loves anything and everything to do with dinosaurs—especially the big carnivores like T-Rex, Carnotaurus, and Allosaurus. He also loves playing with friends and cousins, reading books with mom and dad, Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch, and exploring outdoors. Shaun is an excellent cook and enjoys trying new recipes, especially on the smoker. Shaun also enjoys house projects, building furniture, hunting, and shooting. Karly is artistic and musical—she sings, draws, plays the piano, does a lot of photography, and enjoys participating in local musical theater.  

We enjoy spending time together outdoors--we love to go camping, fishing, go on family walks, and visit national parks. At home, we love cozy movie nights and creating simple traditions that bring us closer. One of our favorite family activities is visiting Disneyland, where we can make memories, laugh, and embrace the magic of being together.

Our family also includes two friendly Australian Shepherd females who are very much part of our daily life. They add energy, fun, and plenty of affection to our home and love being around people.

We believe in providing a nurturing, stable, and supportive environment where a child can feel safe, valued, and deeply loved. We place a strong value on education and lifelong learning. Shaun has earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and an MBA, and Karly holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Beyond degrees, we believe education is about curiosity, growth, and discovering individual strengths. We are committed to encouraging a love of learning, supporting academic goals, and helping Miles explore his interests in a way that builds confidence and a strong foundation for his future.

 

We are active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--our faith is a big and important part of our lives. It guides how we treat others, make decisions, and build our family. We strive to teach Miles about Jesus Christ and Christ-centered values such as kindness, honesty, service, gratitude, and love for others.
